We open 2022 with a delightful treat for our Western Australian Guest Club members, a summer soiree of artist talks and refreshments at Moore Contemporary. Established in 2017, Moore Contemporary is one of Australia’s leading galleries dedicated to the presentation and promotion of major local and international contemporary artists. Gallerist Margaret Moore has curated an exclusive selection of artworks for the Guest Club, including pieces by Pilar Mata Dupont, Abdul Rahman Abdullah, Abdul Abdullah, Dan McCabe and Marita Fraser.
Highly acclaimed West Australian-based artist, Abdul Rahman Abdullah, will join us in person to talk about his practice and upcoming projects. Interstate and internationally-based artists represented by Moore Contemporary will present short complimentary digital experiences.
East coast members will receive a catalogue preview from the exhibition and a recording of the talks will be made available in our online Members’ Area for all Guest Club members to enjoy.

A VIP Day with Melbourne Art Fair

Guest Club invites you to a day of Art, celebrating a new chapter and the inaugural Melbourne event for 2022. Australasia’s signature art world showcase, Melbourne Art Fair returns to South Wharf this February. With over fifty of the region’s most prestigious galleries presenting a reflection on Djeembana/Place, the occasion is widely anticipated to be a highlight of the year.
Djeembana, a word of the Boon Wurrung, is a place for community; a meeting point for the exchange of stories, rituals and knowledge. To explore this in-depth, VIP relations and Guest Club have designed a tour of the fairs First Nations Art Centres. Join artistic and cultural experts to hear first-hand the stories that bring the artwork to life. Complimentary refreshments will be served in the exclusive lounge before the walk and talk.
Beginning the day, Guest Club invites their members to the private collection of Naomi Milgrom in Richmond. The curator-led walkthrough will feature collection acquisitions and highlights from Photo2020. This will be followed by a relaxed group lunch to refresh and refuel before the fair.
Please note: Cornah Willis be at the Melbourne Art Fair to welcome all Guest Club members who arrive after 4 pm. Lunch cost is not included.

Contemporary British Art Scene with Cornah Willis

Join Guest Club’s Associate Director Cornah Willis for an evening masterclass on the Contemporary British Art Scene. Focusing on London’s historic Cork Street in Mayfair, Cornah will “visit” the 18th-century Georgian buildings to create an exclusive experience for Guest Club. Cornah has curated a selection of artworks from Goodman Gallery, Flowers Gallery, Frieze No.9 Cork Street and more. The Masterclass highlights emerging and established artists being exhibited on the prestigious Burlington Estate.
Live from London, a special guest will be joining the conversation.
