Another international art fair is upon us, with Frieze New York taking place in person (on a greatly reduced scale) in New York and online. For the online component London-based Lisson Gallery is offering a selection of works on paper by their represented artists. Click here for the catalogue.
Works on paper are a great way of collecting works by international artists as they tend to be more affordable than works on canvas for example, and are a lot cheaper to ship to Australia. As many are test or preliminary sketches that are modest in size, they can also be more easily shifted around your home depending on how your spaces evolve.
Some of my favourites here are the pieces by Sol Le Witt, Spencer Finch, Carmen Herrera and Joanna Pousette-Dart. If you’re interested in obtaining prices please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
