Hello Art Supporter members,

In advance of our next virtual event in April, Jessica Rankin at White Cube in London, I’m pleased to share with you a list of works from the exhibition.

Jessica Rankin is an established Australian artist who lives and works in New York. She primarily works with embroidery, needlework and in this new series introduces painting into her practice. Traditionally seen as feminine pursuits, Jessica uses embroidery and needlework to explore themes of memory and mind-mapping. Jessica has had a stellar career thus far, showing with high profile galleries and biennial exhibitions around the world.

Here is a link to the list of works from the exhibition which opens today, 17 March. Available works include pieces on stretched linen and paper.

Please get in touch with me if any of these are of interest.

Kind regards

Alana

Hello Art Supporters,

Following our very special virtual event last week, Chiharu Shiota at Koenig Galerie in Berlin, our International Curatorial Associate Anais Lellouche has kindly shared a list of available works of the artist.

There is a waiting list for her drawings in EU but the ones in the shared list are available for purchase in Australia. I thought it was also interesting to note that the sculpture ‘Belonging' is a cast of the artist’s hand, her husband and their child coming together as one unit.

Anais has also added the editioned mobile of 'I Hope' — a lamp with suspended drawings, where you are also invited to add your messages of hope!

Here is a link to the list of works.

Please get in touch with me if any of these are of interest.

Kind regards

Devoted to the Global South, SOUTH SOUTH was conceived by Johannesburg's Goodman Gallery and now brings together a consortium of international galleries which exchange and collaborate with the goal of creating a wider and more inclusive art world.

The platform’s inaugural event SOUTH SOUTH VEZA takes its name from the isiZulu word for “to show, produce or reveal.” It will run from 23 February to 7 March 2021 featuring 50+ galleries from more than 40 cities spread across 30 countries and 5 continents. To kick-off, the program will host a live vernissage and online bidding auction on Tuesday, 23 February, at 1pm GMT. ALANA'S TOP 10 picks - QUARANTINE ART FAIR 2021

ALANA'S TOP 10 picks - QUARANTINE ART FAIR 2021

Here at the Guest Club our 2021 plans are already in full swing. I can’t wait to welcome you to our first in-person event for the year at the Quarantine Art Fair for some bubbles, schmoozing, and of course, plenty of art! This Fair is a unique concept which I’m really looking forward to experience in person. Each room of the Commanding Officer’s House at Point Nepean National Park, Portsea, will be occupied by one of Melbourne’s top galleries.

The galleries have generously given me a sneak peek of what’s to come, so I thought I’d share my top picks with you, our Art Collector and Art Supporter members. Note, this started off as a list of Top 5 but I just couldn’t narrow it down so it’s a Top 10! If you’d like to reserve one of these in advance or would like to preview more works, get in touch and I’d be happy to assist.
